Summary: After Departure Max never heard of his son, but also didn't get back together with Liz. Their senior year went by strained, and now it's their graduation day, and they never really talked about all that happened, and it's time to part ways.

Author's Note: This story was based on Roswell Heaven's Exception to the Rules Summer Fic Challenge, so some things were added to fit their requirements. Underlined phrases correspond to said requirements. 

This little one parter came to me when I was listening to a Brazilian song called "Pra Ser Sincero" by a band called Engenheiros do Hawaii. I don't own it, but I roughly translated it here for you guys to understand it.

It's short, sad, Max POV, with no happy ending.
It's kind of out of my comfort zone, because I never wrote, or dreamed of writing a cannon fic, but here it is nonetheless.
